Reading Challenge- This Book is Not Good for You

This is a funny and interesting book, 3rd in the ‘secret’ series. (First 2 being The Name of this Book is Secret and If You are Reading This, it’s too Late.) The story starts when Cass finds out the evil midnight sun organization is hiding in Africa. She tells the terces society, and they say the midnight sun is after the tuning fork, a legendary object that has the power to change anything into delicious food. After that, she accidentally tells a chef, Senor Hugo, about the tuning fork, and when they dine at his restaurant, he kidnaps Cass’ mom, and then says to give the tuning fork to him within 2 days, or he will kill Cass’ mom, Melanie (Mel). Working with Max-Ernest and Yo-Yoji, she manages to find and take the tuning fork from their principal, Ms. Johnson, but Hugo takes the fork and reveals himself as part of the midnight sun. With time running out, Cass, Max-Ernest, and Yo-Yoji must find the Midnight Sun’s lair and retrieve the tuning fork before it is too late. I like this book because of the action and humor that takes place, and the author’s comments. Also, this book has a large amount of chocolate in it; it is random and funny, and well as adventurous.
