Reading challenge 26th book

Title: ONE whole and perfect day_286 pages

This is an OK book in my opinion and the blurb for this book wasn't quite right. It just talked about Lily being the sensible one and she wanted to be more like the other girls in year 10 so she decided to have a crush on Daniel Steadman. I think this book talked about the relationship between the members in the 2 families: Lonnie's family (Lonnie was Lily's brother) and Clara's family. Lonnie was the boy who took a course and dropped it after 2 weeks and that made his pop fed up. Pop used his axe ( i mean the real, shiny axe with a sharp blade) to scare Lonnie and made up move out of the house. About Clara, she couldn't stand the fact that his dad was abusing her mother and she had enough with them both. After that Lonnie and Clara fell in l0ve with each other and they engaged and so on. About Lily, she was the sensible one in the family who has her homework due in time, does all the shopping and cleaning and washing.....and she had a crush on Daniel Steadman just because she wanted to be more like the other girls. Lily's nan who always talked to her imaginary friend, Sef but it turned out to be a real fried of her who called Sefarina or something like that. Then Lily's nan wanted to have they all come to Pop's birthday and she/Lily wanted to be a perfect day, but with all the fight between Lonnie and Pop and Pop was being a sort of a racist, he probably wouldn't accept a granddautghter in law who is a Chinese....
