Overview: When Jimmy Hawkins joins the crew of the Hispaniola as cabin boy, he had just simply thought that it was any ordinary ship, so little he knows about the danger that awaits him. Some days later, with an ancient map with their only guide, Jimmy sets out with a miscellaneous crew set sail for the legendary Treasure Island! At the beginning, their journey went on absolutely well: The Union flag flies on the mizzen and the craft and the weather is all too well. However, before they knew it, the disgusting black flag of piracy moved up to replace the flag of Union and casts its hideous shadow over the whole ship; now Jimmy and some other crews are surrounded by evil pirates who would give and do anything in order for their dirty hands to get the treasure. What can a young boy like Jimmy do to stop those wicked pirates? It is up to you to find out!

Comments: I think this book is packed with marvelous adventure and written wonderfully with descriptive and strong powerful language. It also taught us a moral: “You cannot trust someone completely; however, on the contrary, you also cannot distrust someone totally.” And “Bad person would have some good points, but good person might also have some bad points; a person cannot be completely good or completely bad.”

The author- Robert Louis Stevenson carefully describes everything so fluently and clearly that you just wanted to read on and on, until the last word is read; even when the last word is read, you will still be lingering aftertaste. This book is action-packed and full of breath-taking events. A masterpiece to be enjoyed!
