elsewhere

this is a not-bad book. I like it. If i had to rate it from a scale from 1-5, i would give it a 4, which is good, great actually.

this book is about a 15, almost 16 year old girl called Liz. she was hit by a taxi cab and was a victim of the hit-and-run accidents. so , now, basically, this is a story about the life of a dead person.

She soon finds herself in the SS Nile, with a girl on her top bunk named Thandi, she died by getting hit by a bullet. Liz thinks this is whole a dream, her death, the boat, until she sees her own funeral with her very own eyes by the OD's (observation decks). Liz cant believe it.
soon after she arrives at Elsewhere, she meets her grandmother, Betty, who died because of breast cancer before Liz was even born. Liz is forced to live with her grandmother and in Elsewhere, a place where you end up after your death, it is especially like earth except that they age backwards into babies and are returned back to earth.
Liz cant believe her own ears. She will never get her driver's licence, go to prom, turn 16, go to college, fall in love, get married....
Liz spends her first month mainly at the OD's watching her family, best friends, etc. she soon becomes a regular to the OD's.
but later on, she finds a better way to see the earth, and it'll soon be her dad's birthday. Liz found an ocean colored sweater that matched his eyes for him a few months before Liz's death. the place she found on Elsewhere was called the Well. this 'well' allows you to make 'contact' with the people on earth. they can see you, sense you, even hear you... BUT, IT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. because, now that 'you' are dead, the people on earth believe that you don't exist anymore, some people on earth will go crazy, you can ruin their lives, and you don't want to see something going wrong on earth because of you when you don't even live there (anymore)! also, people who go to the well sometimes die, well not, die die, but they drown at the ocean floor and never return because the well is located at the deepest part of the ocean.

oh i cant tell you what happens next because then I'll ruin it for you (if you ever read it).
but i seriously recommend you reading this book. it's SOOOOOO C.O.N.V.I.N.C.I.N.G!!
