Reading Challenge-The Name of this Book is Secret

The book starts on a Wednesday, when Cassandra (Cass), a survivalist, is at her grandfather’s while Gloria Fortune, a real estate agent for the dead, drops a mysterious box of things on her grandfather’s house. She finds a box called the symphony of smells, a box with lots of smells in it. At school, she makes a new friend, Max-Ernest, and they find a hidden message in the box. They find out that the message spells (or more accurately smells) HELP, and they agree to meet at the magician’s house on the weekend. The find a mysterious notebook, by hide when Gloria comes in followed by Dr. L and Ms. Mauvius, who seen to be an odd couple. They both look perfect, and wear gloves all the time. Cass and Max-Ernest run, but are spotted by the couple, and they hide. At school the next day, they read the magicians story. He writes about him, Pietro Bergamo, and his brother, Luciano Bergamo, fleeing from Italy. The join the circus in Kansas, and are quite successful when they realize they have synsethia, confusion of the senses. From them they can see smells as letters, letters as colors etc. Cass then realizes the Symphony of Smells is actually a communication device, used by the Bergamo brothers. The story ends when as what Pietro describes a “golden lady, looking so beautiful, with such a tiny waist” offer to take the brothers to dinner. However, Pietro is suspicious, and his brother is gone by the next day, but he receives a message-HELP. Cass them sees Ms. Mauvius and Dr. L taking away a boy, and with a shock she realizes that the ”golden lady” is Ms. Mauvius. The school then anounces that Benjamin Blake, an artist that is a student, is missing. She them realizes that Benjamin Blake has synthesia, and that Ms. Mauvius took him, and others that have synsethia. With luck, her mom is giong on a trip, so she is free to find ou tMs. Mauvius and her base, The Midnight Sun Senseorium and Spa, from a label on the car. She finds out that it is a very expensive place that is dedicated to immortality. She and Max-Ernest go to try and free Benjamin, an dall the others who have been kiddnapped.
I like this book a lot. It is funny and adventureous, and the author makes funny and interesting comments at random times. The author is good at making this story, and he is funny. I recommend this book to you all. 8.8/10
