It is about the Benedict Society, (Kate, Sticky, Reynie, and Constance) and another life threatening mystery the 4 exeptional children have to solve. This mystery has to do with Mr. Benedict's identical twin, Mr. Curtain, and the Whisperer (a harmful machine Mr. Curtain invented to take over the world). Now from the prequel, Mr. Benedict takes the Whisperer from Mr. Curtain but this time Mr. Curtain sets up and evil plot to capture the children in a renovating prison, and steal the Whisperer at the same time with help from his extremely dangerous Ten Men.
