Going For The Record by Julie A. Swanson is a great novel about a girl named Leah who will be the best women's soccer player in the world. She was accepted into the national soccer team, until she finds out her dad has uncurable cancer. She struggles to find her passion for soccer after the incident until her mother arranges a game for her to be placed in. It is a really meaningful book with a good moral.
