Durign Percy’s last day of school, he is attacked by 3 dodgeball-playing canibal giants named Joe Bob, Skull Eater, and Marrow Sucker. Percy is saved by his friend Tyson, who is immune to the fireballs. Annabeth saves them by killing the last giant, and they go to camp half blood. They find out that Thalia’s tree is poisoned, and monsters can get in to the boundaries, and Grover is also kidnapped. Chiron, is accused of othe poison and has to leave. The new activities director send Percy’s rival Clarisse on a quest to retreave the golden fleece, which can save the camp. However Percy, Annabeth, and Tyson go anyways. They have to face many new monsters and challenges, but will they save the camp from getting overrun and rescue Grover?
This is a very interesting book, full of surprises and questions. I recommend it because of it’s action, mystery and suspense.
