Reading challenge 4th book

Name : Mediator : High Stakes _ 200 pages.

Susannah Simon is a mediator who can see and talk with spirits which means ghosts. She had had a new life in California, where everything is different from what she used to know in New York. In her new school she meets another mediator who appear to be her headmaster. He kept on telling her that she should treat the spirits with respectful and without using fists. Well, that's not quite true because she had nearly been killed by a ghost.... Back to her normal life, like other typical teenagers, she came to pool party, had great friends and a cutest boyfriend in town ( TAD). Everything was alright until the night that a ghost appeared and yelled at her. She wanted Suze to tell a person that " he didn't kill her" and when Suze asked the ghost who, she just said 'RED". Suze had quite a tough time trying to find a man called Red and then she ended up with Tad's father : Thaddeus Red Beaumont. He was quite creppy: scared of sunlight, doesn't eat, looking into people's neck or necklace and his servant who is actually his brother was checking people's necks. It made Suze think that he was a vampire....until she found out that he had a mental disorder which make he think that he is a vampire. As she kept on working on her case, she found out that his brother ( the used-to-be-servant) was a murderer!! She told the ghost about the Red Beaumont but she said that Suze hadn't accomplish her mission yet. Not until she saw a picture of her stepfather, Andy. It was a picture of him and his ex-wife, who died years ago because of ovarian cancer. She finally understand who the ghost want to tell: her ex-husband, Suze's stepfather. The ghost looks exactly the same as the one in the picture.
Not so happy ending : Tad moved away with his father to San Francisco but Suze has accomplished her mission with the help of her friends, Jesse ( a ghost that died 150 years ago) and her bestfriend in New York will go to California to visit her.
